Sell, sell, sell, Des Moines, Des Moines, Des Moines

Hey there,

Dont forget y’all, you can actually buy some Tupperware at each show.  Here is a woman rimming one of the bowls to test it out in Des Moines, Iowa.

Hey, did you know that Des Moines means “Of the Moines.”  My friend Dan told me that.

It’s French.

  • OMG Lissa, did you for real just ask Dixie if she’s a turtle? Because if she answers, “You bet your sweet ass I am!” I will just DIE of giddiness! Ms. Dixie Longate a Turtle – How effin’ cool is that! Woohoo! Dixie, I’ll see you in Asheville next week and ask you in person. 🙂

  • Dan was only partially informative. Moines is monks in French. As in friars, not those nasty little monsters that lob coconuts at you from trees. ‘Of the monks’ refers to “… to the French Trappist monks, some of whom lived in huts on top of what is now known as Monks Mound, the largest mound in the Cahokia Mounds complex on the banks of the Mississippi.” Thank you, wikipedia.
